With the very first sun rays breaking through the morning mist the young archery hunter's heart his pumping rapidly as he draws back to take a shot at his very first buck. He has already let two doe walk by and has set his sights on the four point as his prize. He has never had a real shot at a deer and his Dad will be very proud, he thinks silently, as he draws the arrow back and tries his very best to steady his shaking arms. Just as he feels he has the perfect shot, he is startled by twig snapping to his left and glances over to see a trophy eight point challenging the smaller buck to rights to the two doe .....on second thought...
Hello, my name is Fred Carrow and I am the artist of this very limited edition Giclee on fine art paper (only 950) taken from my original oil painting entitled "On Second Thought". My son, Caleb, modeled as the hunter in this colorful story of a young hunter's first "buck fever" high up in his tree stand. Anyone who has ever archery hunted knows this feeling well and will always have a vivid picture of their first encounter with the elusive whitetail. Thanks for viewing.
The print's image measures 15 x 20 inches and has a 2 inch white border. It is signed and numbered by myself has just been released in time for Christmas.
